Major Database Layer Upgrade

We are very pleased to announce that we completed a successful and significant upgrade of our core database systems last night.  While not as flashy as some of our feature upgrades for users, this is the kind of infrastructure upgrade that sustains VisionLink and our customers over time.

Some four months in the making, this upgrade provides faster and more efficient response times for users, a more sophisticated set of management tools for our developers, and offers a more advanced platform for our customers' continued growth and expansion over time.

Personally, I am very proud of our excellent VisionLink staff that prepared and practiced the scripts and testing protocols to ensure a solid upgrade, along with wide spread testing across all of the Community Operating System modules and features--in an extraordinarily quick maintenance window.

It's a balance always, between deploying new features for users, and attending to the core technical infrastructure; it is good we are purposefully doing both.
