Visionlink has recently improved the
Taxonomy Management module, particularly useful to information and referral and 2-1-1 operations.
The improvements include:
Certain categories of the Taxonomy can now be flagged as inactive so that services cannot be posted to these categories, as required by AIRS certification for 2-1-1 call centers.
It is also possible to intentionally post services to categories which are turned off day to day, so that such services are ready to be deployed for future needs and disasters or for specific seasonal programs.
As readers know, CommunityOS is a multi-purpose, multi-agency solution. In this particular case, the Taxonomy Management module supports the AIRS specification, while allowing proactive posting to inactive categories. With a click, inactive categories can be activated and those posted services instantly become available to the staff, agency partners, and the public as appropriate.
