VisionLink Welcomes Our Newest Customer, Nevada 2-1-1!

Nevada 2-1-1 is a program of the Financial Guidance Center (FGC) and is committed to helping Nevada citizens connect with the services they need.

FGC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) HUD approved housing counseling agency and has been serving all Nevadans since 1972.  With offices throughout the state, FGC can provide face-to-face service in addition to an interactive website for those unable to access in-person service due to distance, as Nevada is predominantly a rural and frontier state. Administration of the Nevada 2-1-1 program blends perfectly with the FCG mission. FGC is committed to administering the Nevada 2-1-1 program on a statewide basis.

Other programs, services, and resources provided by FGC include financial counseling and coaching; debt repayment; housing counseling services including first-time homebuyer education and down payment assistance, loss mitigation and foreclosure prevention, and reverse mortgage counseling; asset development programs including Lending Circles, Individual Development Accounts for education, homeownership, and micro-enterprise, and the establishment of checking and savings accounts; crisis intervention programs including food security and utility assistance, and; a variety of other basic financial programs including administration of the Nevada Attorney General’s Home Again program, an IRS advocacy program, and the presentation of more than 400 financial literacy presentations each year, both in-house and at the location of community partners throughout Nevada.

The addition of the Nevada 2-1-1 program to for FGC allows for the enhancement of resources to better benefit Nevadans. Available 24x7x365, it meets the unique needs of Nevadans and those working in Nevada’s primary industry, hospitality.  FGC will ensure the database is updated, comprehensive, current, and viable, which will provide Nevadans one number to call to obtain information on valuable resources and will provide a number of benefits for all stakeholders.
